Board of directors 2006-2007


In the past, the general assembly at the Annual General Meeting gave the mandate to the board of directors to re-examine the structure of operation of Canada Folklore in order to simplify it. The new efficient structure was voted in by of the members during The Annual General Meeting 2005.


National Importance
Membership to Folklore Canada is open to individuals, artistic groups and festival organizations, representing all provinces and territories on a national level.
Active members can be either selected by the corporation or elected by the associates
All official acts of Folklore Canada are required to use both national languages of the country.

Further Development of Membership Drive
The generation of new membership and interest in the organization locally, provincially and federally is the aim of Folklore Canada International.

Category - active members

Three types of active members:

1. Delegates to a company by the organizations provincial partners.
2. Members selected by the corporation.
3. Members elected by the affiliated associates.

Category - associate members

This category currently comprises two divisions:

1. Members at large (individual).
2. Affiliated members (lists of the membership or organization).
